A New Challenge

My first official post for the new house!

This week, we went to see an amazing, five-storey house. I’d previously seen it a couple of weeks ago, on Zoopla and Rightmove during one of my frequent obsessive house browsing sessions. But when I called the estate agents, they said the open house was already booked up and full – I was gutted!

Houses in Dover with parking are hard to come by, as are decent sizes ones within budget, so I was super sad to see one of the best opportunities potentially already gone. We also know this road really well, it’s in a conservation area and right next to a private school, Dover College, and all of the houses and buildings have loads of character.

But earlier this week the estate agents called back up, and said the vendors didn’t want to sell to any of the developers who’d viewed it, and they wanted it to go to a family – looks like we were the only family mad enough to want to take this place on, and we had our first viewing on Monday!

We put an offer in straight away, which has now been accepted!! Here are some of the estate agent photos, and some from our first viewing. As you can see, there’s a lot to do – but we’re here for it and I hope you will be too!
